Abu Dhabi’s Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has issued a significant notice concerning marketing campaigns for all licensed establishments in the emirate.
In the interest of maintaining a safe and consumer-friendly business environment, ADDED stresses the importance of refraining from:
- Direct telephone contact with consumers and the use of your available database, unless the consumer agrees to receive the call, expresses interest, or registers using any platform or means of communicating with him.
- Sending SMS text messages or through the WHATSAPP program to the consumer unless the consumer has expressed his desire in any way to receive the message of advertisements or offers.
